During the month of June we will be highlighting videos to use in the classroom. These are great videos to reinforce concepts, introduce new material, and generate discussion. This week’s video is “Geopolitical Energy Security”.

Recent events in Russia and Ukraine as well as the rare earth mining being done in Africa make this video a relevant to a wide range of classroom possibilities.

Often, it is difficult to navigate a classroom discussion where multiple points of view are heard in a way that is resprectful and open to varying viewpoints. Socratic seminars are a great way for foster classroom discussions that are engaging and give all students an opportunity to express their thoughts.
